Hi,

I'm here for 3 months and 15 days and one thing it's sure time goes really fast. All of this little things who, in the beginning of my exchange surprised me, made me laugh or shocked me, like to see teenagers driving a van are now a part of my life and I'm already use of it ( Ok maybe excepted for one thing, see people wearing sandals and socks together continue to shock me every days).

Last time when I wrote my report I was on the swim team of my high school and now swimming season is over, I had my last competition for the regionals in the swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale again, it's really strange because that was at this place I had one of my first competitions this year too and some things changed since this time. At the end of the season a girl in my swim team told me my English progressed since the beginning of it because at this time she had to explain and showed me many of the exercises we have to do because I didn't get its and she don't have to do that anymore. That was surely one of the coldest day since I'm here that was freezing and I seriously thought : Why we swim outdoor in Florida ??? But that was either an awesome day and I enjoyed all moments of it ! During the lunch time we were to a French restaurant with some people of my swim team but we didn't drive to it ( in fact they didn't cause obviously i can't drive) we walked to the restaurant and that was really fun because we crossed one of the nicest neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale : Las Olas ! I never thought some houses and boats can be so big that was totally unbelievable. The French restaurant was nice too and that was so good to can eat true French bread after 3 months.

Today, it's Thanksgiving, first for me ! It's funny to see how everybody it's so excited for this holiday, and I admit I am too. On the street we can start to see the Christmas decorations, I find that really strange because in France when we are close enough to Christmas time, the weather it's totally different it's cold and it can snow too, here I stay in tee-shirt and it's sunny and warm ( even if it's colder than the beginning that stay so much warmer than France weather at the same time) so I have this impression it's like a kind of fake Christmas time !

Last week someone asked me what is the thing I like the more and the less here :

I think the thing I prefer it's the weather, when I arrive in August I found it horrible because that was so hot and humid but now it's colder and not so humid so you can go outside and don't have this impression to be on a sauna and it's very cool because you can just wear a tee-shirt, short and tong and not worry to get cold that why I love Florida, can go to the beach the all year is awesome !

The thing I like the less is surely the transportation, you don't have so many bus and others types of transportations here and sometimes you can really have this impression to be stuck when you don't have a car, that surely one of the things I miss the more. Last Monday with Julia from Brail we just ride a bike on a park and that was just so nice to do an activity which not need to drive a car !

To give you an idea to which new activities I do since the last time I wrote:

- I had two birthdays parties : one for Tina's birthday and the other for Emily's birthday
- Two bonfires with smores and others typical American food !
- I went to butterfly world
- I went to a charity concert and won a hair cut
- I participate to a humanity activity a Sunday morning with my rotary club
- I went to Miami and Stiltsville with the exchange student for a rye 6990
weekends =) That was really awesome, passed the week end with all of the exchange students in my district, sleep in a house on the middle of the sea where you can see Miami it's just unbelievable !!
- I went to tarpon springs and visit Heloise, this city I totally different to the rest of the state or even country I'm sure. You have this impression to be in America and Greece on the same time !
- I join the French club and the best buddies club of my school.
- I went to to Ikea and had this really strange impression to come back in Europe because, yea the Ikea in my city in France is exactly the same...
-I went in a zoo on Miami
- I went to bush gardens and understood what is a true roller coaster.
-Saw the play theater of my high school
- Had my first Halloween in America with trick or treats and scary movie. (which was not so scary)

Hi !

Now I'm here more than 1 month and I really love my life here, it's really different from my life in France and i think it was what I expected from my exchange so it's nice. My family is really nice and I feel here like at home now.

To start I want to excuse me to send my report late but this week end my host family took me to Gainesville to watch a football games so I just can't not include that on my month report =)) That was really fun, the gators won, I really liked the campus, it's so huge ! And the ambiance during the game was really amazing, all of the people wore the same colors : Orange and Blue for gator's fan, white and blue for the Kentucky university's supporters, there was 90 000 people in the stadium.

Last week I finished my fourth school week, I chose my subjects the first week after my arrival so everyday I have French ( I know easy =p), American government, integrated math, sculpture, English, Spanish and international relation. I like my school here, I find the teachers are more friendly than in France, and my different class are interesting. I started to be used to my school, the first days at school weren't easy because I didn't know anybody and everything was new and so big compared to my school in France, the first week I lose myself all the time in the school, 3 minutes to change your class when you don't know exactly where is your next class it's just impossible ! But now I know where is my class and I don't arrive late fortunately because the first week I was late in my sculpture class and my teacher have decided to lock me out, 3 weeks here and I have my first lock out... lucky, really lucky !

I'm on the swim team for my school too, it's really nice, people are nice, Wednesday we had a competition in the Fort-Lauderdale swimming hall of fame, this pool is really amazing and so big !! I have met a girl from Martinique during the meeting, it's a French island, I was surprised to meet her !

For the Labor Day, my host family took me to the beach, that was a really nice day and I can say I really love the beach here, it's beautiful and the water is just so much hotter than where I live in France !=)

Monday that was the senior nerd day at school, all of the senior were dressed like "nerds", many of them wait for this day since their freshman year so it's like a very important day and that was really funny.

Have a good evening !
