Hello everyone

Its been a while since i posted my report. now its almost been 4 months. i cant believe that time goes so quickly.  so many things happened since i last posted.

on Halloween week i went on a cruise to Bahamas with my host family. it was awesome and on Halloween there was a costume party on the ship. everyone was dressed up. i wonder how come we don't have Halloween in Turkey. its so much fun.

And last week was thanksgiving which means, i think, so much food. the lady from my host rotary club invited me and my host family to thanksgiving dinner at her house. there was a huge turkey and sweet potatoes. i ate so much that my stomach was hurting. anyways i think its a great holiday that the whole family comes together.

And after Halloween and thanksgiving now there is another American holiday coming up in 2 weeks. its Christmas time!  unlike most of the other exchange students we don't celebrate Christmas back home. since major religion is Islam in Turkey we only celebrate new year. my host mom decorated whole house including outside with lights, toys and of course a Christmas tree. its really huge and pretty. I cant wait for winter break.

Besides holidays im going to school. I made a lot of friends and i love going school. actually the school is much easier than back home. I have good grades here:) i was in the volleyball team but now the season is over. and since its over i started to play soccer. I have so much fun at the practices. and when soccer finishes im planning to play tennis.

On Thursday all the exchange students are going to Disney world. I cant wait for that i haven't  seen other exchanges since august. its gonna be so much fun.

Well that’s all for now!

heyyy!

im sorry for waiting too long with the journal, but ive been busy with making friend and getting used to everything.
its been 2 months and a day. and everything is going great so far.

the first weeks were really great. my host family is the best. they are from Chile and of course they speak Spanish as many people do in here, south florida. and i have a host sister who is at the same age as me which is great and i have a host brother he is 18 but he is in the college now. and i m really happy that im going to learn Spanish too because ive always wanted to learn and this is the best opportunity.

in my first 2 weeks they showed me around. and then the school started. im going to Hallandale high school which is really different yet awesome. we dont have to wear uniforms here. isnt that cool? and in the school, there are many people from all around the world. and ive made a lot of friends. i play volleyball for school and im planning to play soccer and tennis too when the season starts.

and last week i went to rotary camp which was really fun and also tiring bit. first we went to everglades to see alligators. and i even hold the baby one. we stayed diane's house who was a really nice lady.we stayed up late. and the next day we were on a boat. we swam in the ocean and tanned. now my face is kinda red.

it was really fun weekend and i was really happy to meet my exchange friends.we havent seen each other since the first camp.and i cant wait for next month to next camp.

and i guess thats all for now.
