APRIL:P                                       Yuki

Hello:D

Wooowww, it's April…! I moved to the 3rd host family, Millers. I love them so much!!!! My host father is a commissioner of Deerfield Beach, he just elected. My host mother is a Chinese, she teaches me many Chinese stuff. Host sister is 14 year old and she loves Jonas Brothers. They have two dos, boxer and shi tzu. The boxer has strong muscles so I try to stay away from him. His favorite is peanut butter :D They let me use the upstairs, which is kind of like an apartment :D.

I just heard from my sister in Tokyo, she said she is going to visit me April 28th. I'm very excited about it, and I hope she will like Florida.

I'm going to go back Japan June 6th, I know it's pretty early, but it doesn't mean that I don't want to stay. I will flight from Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta with Lukas :D. Before I go back, I have many things to do. Sometimes there is too much things going on and I can't do any of them lol.

I had mid-term few weeks before, it was really hard. I have 3 honors classes plus pottery. I almost gave up but I completed them!!!

On weekends, I often hang out with Lily who goes to the same school. She comes to my house on Thursday directly from school (because we don't have school on Fridays), go to Malls, and she stays over night, and we go to the beach which is 5 min away from the house on Friday.

I can't believe that we don't have any orientation with all exchange students. That is a very sad truth, but anyways all 08-09 students are awesome!!! We had so much fun staying together and I'll never forget that I had opportunity to meet 67 same age teenagers from all over the world.

I hope all exchange students will enjoy next 2 or 3 months :D love everyone!

February journal

I had this BIG birthday party at John’s (my counselor) house on 31th of Jan. I turned to 17 on 1st of Feb!!!!!! The party was great. I invited Nadja, Marzen, Lukas, Oona, Gabriel, and Jeppe. And also I invited 5 people who is going to be an exchange student from my school because I thought it would be a good experience for them to know how the exchange year goes. My first host family, third host family and of course my host family were there. I had so much fun then! I would like to say thank you to everyone, especially John and Beth.

I will never forget the time that I spent with all exchange students in Florida. It started from the first orientation…and the last event, sea camp just ended. TIME PASSES REALLY FAST. What I learned so far is the more I learn, the more I can have fun. The exchange students 08-09, they are AWESOME. I think we are a awesome group!

I hope every each student will make the best memory by having experiences in Sun Shine Florida J

Now, another trip is coming. I am going to go to Mexico by a cruise. John will take Nadja and me. We are so excited!!!!!

I counted the last of days….and I surprised!!! I have only less than 4 months because I might go back to Japan early in June. I am scared to going back, same as I was really nervous to live in another country for a year. Probably I don’t need to say the reason because I am sure that every student feels the same way. Anyways, I will DO many things as much as I can last of the year!!!!!!!!!!!! J

Merry Christmas every one :D

The Disney world trip was amazing J I hope everyone had a great time there! I couldn’t believe that it was the second time that we got together with all exchange students in Florida because we were so close :D! And also I can’t believe that there is only one chance left to get together. And the time is coming soon!!!! Sea camp!!!:D I know everyone is looking forward to go there.!

These two months, I was really busy. I went to Washington D.C. with my first host family for thanksgiving holiday. We went to the white house and museums. We stayed at host father’s brother’s house. I helped cooking for thanksgiving traditional meals. Up there, it was really cold…28°F in the morning. It was great!!!!!!!!

Then the Disney world trip! We have Disney Sea and Disney land in Japan but it was different. Even the same attractions, the story was totally different so I really enjoyed!

And this weekend, Dec 11th, I moved to my second host family. I can’t say just thank you to my first host family. I can’t imagine how many things I have done with them in 4 months. I really appreciate them. I miss them a lot but still I think changing family is a good experience to make myself fresh.

My second host family there is host mother, father and sister. She is 10 years old. They gave me a pretty room. I’m enjoying staying with my new family so far. I also appreciate them.

Next week, we are going to go to Massachusetts for Christmas holidayyyyy <3

I’m so excited.! I’m sure we will have fun up there. We will use airplane to go there but we are driving home! So I have a chance to pass and see New York, Washington D.C., North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia……many states!
I hope all exchange student can have nice Christmas and new year… :D

Time passed very fast!! It means I am having a good time. Yeah, I am doing good!

I have plans every weekend. Having fun with host family, friends and exchange students! We had a get-together last week in Miami and everybody had a nice weekend!

I like school but it is still hard…American government and Marine science. Terms are difficult for me. But I’m trying to do my best. I made a lot of friends there. They are all nice to me ;p

I’m going to move from this first host family after the Disney trip. I don’t want to think about it because it is so sad to leave and I am a little nervous. But I hope I will be fine. I haven’t talked to my family in Japan for a long time. I should tell them about my experiences!

5  My best weekend was…of course August 22-24!!!!!!!! It was wonderful! I made a lot of friends. Foods were terrible but I had a valuable experience which is more important than eating!
I was a little shocked to the difference of other cultures, but that is the thing I wanted to know. Anyway, the weekend was great!!
