Hi everyone,
Its has official been two weeks since my arrival in Cagliari, Italy.
And I am loving the country, everything about it is just makes me
mesmerized!
I left
Tortoli last week to go to Cagliari for school, I wasn't sure i was going
to like it as much, but i was wrong i ADORE this city!
I started school this monday at the scientifico, It was a very interesting
experience. I used the bus for the first time and then walked to school at
around 7:30 am. I had already met a girl named , Ana from my class, so she
showed me around and introduced me to the kids in my class. Here in Italy
the students don't change classes the teachers do, which is hard for me to
get use to. I really miss the American system. After school, i walked home
and had lunch with my host mom, Silvana. That same day i had my first
Rotary meeting with the other exchange students which was really nice, we
all really clicked with each other. There is about 15 of us, only two are
not from the States (a boy from Turkey and a girl form Taiwan).
I've already made some friends here, Italians and exchange students so its
been a nice experience thus far, exploring the city, practicing my
Italian. I can see that i will come to love every aspect of this wonderful
Island i now call home.
Thank you Rotary for making this possible, and thank you everyone in the
6990 district committee for everything! I love it here!
