well i just
arrived here yesterday, i got to travel with Audrey up until rome which
was great. Being alone and going through something like this is hard.
HAving someone you know makes all the difference.
When i got to the airport at cagliari i thought, " okay its tiny , I'm
here so nothing can happen, now i can relax." Boy was i wrong. hahaha The
airline lost my bag to make a long story short, and in this bag are ALL OF
MY essentials, such as underwear. GREAT! (My luck is that my host mom,
Silvana is really nice so today she took me out to buy those essentials.)
So while im kind of freaking out about that i have to do a lost baggage
claim in my bad, broken italian. ( all i know is pure conversation, like
how are you? where do you live? yes, i like it here.) My host dad, Vicento
had seen me walking back and forth from baggage to customs to check-in
counter and came to rescue me. THANK GOD!!! In about two second he told
the guy everything i had tried to in about 15 mins.Atleast his italian is
good, vero? (right in italian)
He showed me the way to the exit and that is where i meet my host mom,
silvana and my "tutore" ( can't spell) louie?. They then showed me
cagliari and where i'm going to live. They have a house in construction
which is going to be my main house and one in Tortoli which is about 2
hours from cagliari. After that i meet simone, their son ( which is dany's
brother, the inbound) we had lunch and then were on our way to Tortoli aka
the bEACH! yay!
After a few hours on the beach, vicento got off work and came to have
dinner with us. Some of the family members showed up. We stayed talking
and eating for hours. ( they want me to try everything even when I'm full,
it's really funny. I tell them no thank you I'm full and they answer no
always space!) After that there was a show of a musical running here in
italy about the hunchback of Notre dame, the employees of the place were
the actors which was cool.
Finally we went to the house ( in tortoli) and i slept for a long 10 hours
which was WONDERFUL! hahah. |
