Dear Rotarians and my fellow Exchange Students. It's very dificult for me to explain the emotions running through me at the moment. The most amazing year of my life has come to an end. I left my city of Londrina today, and am staying the night in São Paulo before flying to Miami tomorrow morning. It was very sad saying goodbye to so many people I love, saying goodbye to a place that has become my new home, and saying goodbye to my new life. This year has really taught me alot about the world around me, and about myself. It has changed me and my way in thinking that I would never be able to explain correctly to someone who hasn't gone through a similar expirience themeselves. My sadness couldn't last too long though. It's funny how god always seems to open a new door as he is closing an old one. Tonight after arriving in São Paulo I heard from my sister that the package from the university I applied to finally arrived and I was accepted, which just reminded me that life really does go on and rather than this being the end, infact it is just the beginning of many more wonderful adventures life has to offer. Thank you so much, for giving my this amazing opportunity. It has really been an amazing year, not all expiriences were good, but all has been amazing and each day taught me more than I ever excepted to learn. Obrigadão. Lindsay |
