Hallo!

A little about my trip to the Netherlands:

For my latest travel adventure I went to the Netherlands with my Rotary Club last Saturday ( September 22nd ) . It only took us less then 2 hours to get there. Which is crazy because back at home it took you two hours and you still weren't in Miami. But anayways.... We met up there with a Rotary Club from the Netherlands. There we had a presentation about how the Netherlands could be underwater, and every year the river rises considerably because of the melting of the ice on the Swiss Alps.
 

After the presentation we traveld through a few old towns. There they just showed us as we were driving all about how a lot of these parts of the city are underwater due to the water rising.  Then we stopped and took a walk through a typical Dutch city to a little restaurant where we had lunch. (or in german- mittag essen)

The city was full of old buildings and very cute houses and stores. There were horse drawn buggies, bicycles everywhere, and the aroma of the typical dutch food.

After eating we went to a water ( wasser) museum. There we watched a movie about the water around the world and how places are haveing floods while others are having major droubts. After the movie we just walked around the museum a little, went and saw some huge fountains near by, talked, and then we ate dinner.
 

Dinner was very interesting. The dutch people love fish. Espically herring...ekkkk! All i can say is i am glad there was some chicken on the table too.

Then we headed back to good-ole Deutchland.

The best part was our transport to the Netherlands. We had an old-school bus from who knows when. It was definatley fun to ride in.
