Well
hello everyone!!!
As you know i was just on a three week long europe trip...which was
amazing! I am going to do a short version of the three weeks becuase
otherwise it would just be to long!
So to start off....we headed from The Duisburg Train station at
midnight to reach our first destination of Prague in Czech Republic.
Prague was a nice place but a very dirty one. It made me really
thankful to be in germany for my exchange where everything is really
clean. :) Following prague we went to Budapest, Vienna, Venice ( Which
was nice but cold), Rome...pause.... A little story about Rome. So we
were in Rome for Easter, and we were hoping to see the Pope and have a
wonderful day in Rome...well didnt happen. We stated the day off with
a light rain which wasn't so bad. As we go into the city the downpour
began! We never got to see the Pope and everyone was soaking wet! We
would step in our shoes and water would be gushing out of them. So we
go back to out hostel to change clothes and take hot showers so we are
warm again. Back into the city we go. And can you guess what
happened.... RAIN, RAIN, and MORE RAIN !!!!! Since my tennis shoes
were soaked i had to wear my crocs....good things it doesnt matter if
water gets in them! After awhile the storm cleared and we finally got
to have a few nice pictuers taken by the Coliseum. So after worst city
of our tour we headed of to Florence, Pisa, Mice, and Monaco, Avingnon,
Geneva, and last but not least Paris.
The whole trip was amazing! I made stronger relationships with the
people i already knew and good relationships with the people i didnt
know. It was so wonderful! We learned so much that it is all so hard
to say at one time.
My favorite place was definately Monaco and Nice! Can you guess why?
Well first of all the sun was out!!! Second of all the beach! I had
never seen such beautiful water as in Nice ever in my life! I mean
florida has nice water but this was just spectacular! The water was
freezing cold but of course people stlll went in....i only went in
till my knees....it was to cold for me.
I think am a person who is just bound to have stuff stolen from. The
day before my euorpe tour my wallet was stolen from school...with my
bank card which i was gonig to use on my trip, and during the tour my
cell phone was stolen! I think i am just a target. Woops!
I cant believe my Europe tour is over. It seems like i just came to
Germany and that i would have to wait a really long time before my
euorpe tour would start. Now i have been in Germany for over 8 months,
i am switching familes tomrrow and i only have 3 months and 2 weeks
left! WOW! Then i will be flying back the the nice and humid Florida!
Hehe!
I would like to thank the Heinlein's for hosting me these last 4
months! They have been a wonderful family to me and have shown me so
much about german culture. You are like my family! I love you all so
much! Thank you for everything you have helped me with!
Also i would like to thank my host family that i am going to be moving
to tomrrow. Thank you so much for you support in my year so far! You
are an amazing family, and even though i havent lived with you yet you
are my family! You helped me tremendously on my europe tour and i am
sooooo thankful!!!! THANK YOU!
And last but not least at all! Thank you Rotary International! Without
you i would no be over here in germany on my exchange learning the
German language, culture, and making family that will last forever!
Thank you to my Host and Sponsering Rotary clubs for supporting me and
helping my during my exchagne year!
With love and thanks!
