The Tarpon Springs Bush Gardens trip

On the weekend I took part in a school field-trip to Tarpon Springs Tampa. Because I play the trombone I am a member of the Cypress Bay HS Marching Band. Oktober always is the Marching Band saison. So I took part in three competitions. The Tarpon Springs competition this weekend was the last one.

So on Saturday the 200 members plus chaperones got onto 4 charter buses and headed for Tampa. It took us about 5 to 6 hours to get to Tampa. We watched films on the bus and slepped. We stopped once at Mc Donalds to get a meal, but the staff was not prepared for 200 hungry musicians. Then in the late evening we arrived in Tarpon Springs where we put our uniforms on and performed. We performed a good show with the theme of Carlos Santana. As a result we got a Superior Auxiliary and a Superior Drum-manager or Drum-major. In our class which is 5 we came in second with 83..%.

We got overall third. After the performance we got back on the buses and drove to the Comfort Inn which was our accomodation for the night. The next morning we had to get up early because we wanted to visit the Bush Gardens park. I went on nearly all the attractions in the park. I had a lot of fun. Then we got onto the buses again to head for Weston.I slepped on nearly the whole bus ride because I was so tired. We arrived at the school at about 10 o'clock. I got a ride back home so I went to bed quite late. Today I was really tired in school but I had a nice sleep on the schoolbus and in the learning center before school and I even dressed up in the 80 style because we have senior week, but I am only a junior.

But I had a lot of fun thanks to the Marching Band. It is sad that Marching Saison is over. I enjoyed it a lot.
