[EDITOR'S NOTE - this report was sent some time before Chantae left Germany - and the one sent then is floating around cyberspace because we know the Editor would NEVER loose a report!  But here it is in its entirety]

Ok.... So my time here in Germany is coming to an end.....but its not done yet.......Soooooo

The month of June....On the fifth of June I went to a soccer game.....Brasil vs. Turkey....I know I know....Why did I go to a Brasil vs Turkey while I’m in Germany....Well...My best friends over here are from Brasil so we all went together..... We all painted our faces and ended up on TV...Its was sooooo much fun....unfortunately nobody won....The next day at school I had people coming up to me and telling me that they saw me on TV...I was a celebrity....
The next big thing that happened in my life after that was Rotex Weekend....We went camping.....The weekend was called Adventure Weekend....and let me tell you...it was an adventure just to find the place where we were camping....A big group of us were walking around for almost 2 hours looking for the place and then finally we found it....During the weekend we didn’t really do that much...since the weather was really nice we went swimming and just hung out....We also went canoeing... That wasn’t fun...only because Rotex tipped the boat I was in 3 times....Just because we laughed at them when they got tipped they decided to tip us....I don’t think that is very nice....But anyways, after canoeing it was the last time all the inbounds would be together..... instead of sitting around the fire and making s’mores we sat around the fire and made bread....only in Germany......The next day I had to leave really early because I had dance rehearsal....So, unfortunately I wasn’t able to say goodbye to some people.....
The following weekend...June 16th...I had my dance performance....It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of people......It was a long show...it started at 7 and lasted until 11...and my dance was the next to last....so I had to stay the whole time...I was so tired by the end.....
This past week I have had to say goodbye to 4 friends....I think it is one of the hardest things to do....and I also think that as an exchange student you really learn how to say goodbye to people .....In my year I have met so many amazing people and I have said goodbye to so many amazing people, but I guess that is just the way of life....This year has been truly amazing.....There have been ups and downs but that’s life....I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone at Rotary for giving me this opportunity.....Without you guys none of this would be possible....and Thank You to all my host families.... I will be returning home soon and leaving this new life behind....I’m anxious to see what is in store for me back in Florida....Soon I will find out....Once again I would like to say Thank You to everyone who has made this possible....You guys make a lot of peoples dreams come true....I will see you all soon....

Tchau
