Part 2

So after Prague it was off to Budapest....

Budapest

After arriving in Budapest we immediately went out for dinner....We had really good traditional Hungarian food....I have no clue what it was called but it was good and it was four courses....We were a bunch of satisfied exchange students after that meal....The day in Prague we did some sight seeing ..I don’t remember what we did the whole day or what we saw...Sorry...but that night we had another four course meal and after that we went on a night tour of Budapest by foot to work off all that food...During our walk we went to the Donau bridge. It was absolutely gorgeous...When we finally got back to the hostel everyone was so tired but somehow we ended up staying awake until 4 o’clock...Then we were told to go to sleep... We were woken up at 8 and had to pack and everything so we could leave for Vienna....before we left for Vienna though we went to a big shopping market and had about an hour and a half to shop and get anything else that we wanted before we left....Many people stalked up on food for the bus ride while others went crazy with buying gifts....Around 2 o’clock we left Budapest and headed for Vienna....

Vienna

We arrived in Vienna at about 6:30- 7 o’clock....We had dinner and then it was off for another night tour....During our tour we saw Stephansdom (church)..and that was about it because it started to rain really bad so they cancelled the rest of our tour and gave us free time instead..A group of us went to Starbucks and met some really nice people from Italy.... The next day in Vienna was a little better... we saw the Schonbrunn palace and had another tour of the old city....After that we had free time again. This is when I got my camera....I was so happy....it was so hard to go for so many days (4) without a camera to take pictures with....but anyways....After I got my camera we did a little shopping and just relaxed....Vienna reminded me a lot of Germany so it wasn’t all that exciting..During our free time it started to snow so Rotex decided to cancel the rest of our program and we just returned to our hostel and chilled for a few hours....watched some movies, ate some candy...This is why exchange students gain weight...we always eat..after a few hours of rest we had dinner, and then partied....Yes they let us party....but It was nothing big...they took us to this little pub down the street and we listened to music and danced....After all the next day was the beginning of what all of us were waiting for....

ITALY

Padua/ Venice

AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally Italy.....Since the beginning of the trip we had all been waiting for the day when we would get to Italy.....After many hours on the bus we finally arrived in Padua....Padua itself was a nice little town but we didn’t do anything there....it was just the town that our hostel was in and where we ate..I just have to say that in our hostel the boys toilets were just a whole in the ground....The first night we were given money and told to go find our own dinner....the only thing was we had 10 euros each and we had to be back at the hostel by 12....considering we went out to eat at 10:30 it was a race to find a good restaurant that was cheap and fast....somehow we ended up finding a really nice restaurant with really good food and cheap....The next day we woke up early and went to Venice....It took about 2 hours (because of traffic) to get to Venice, but we weren’t actually in Venice...To get to Venice you also have to take a water taxi which took about a half hour...As soon as we arrived in Venice we took a city tour and saw the Rialto bridge, Santa Maria Della Salute and Palazzo Ducale. After our city tour we had free time for lunch...After lunch we went to Marcusplatz (Marcus square I believe is how its translated). Then we went to Basilica Di San Marco, then once again we had free time....some of us went to this island (I forgot what its called) where they make glass I believe it was but it was closed so then we had to turn around and go right back...we wasted 2 hours of our time...After about another 2 hours of traveling back to Padua we were all really tired and went straight to bed...Well most of us anyways....The boys decided to stay up and keep everyone else up...well at least my room because we were right by them...well....the next day we traveled to .....

To be continued......
