Well its been awhile and i got a bit to write about., i guess i will start with my trip to Foz do Iguacu. it wqas another small trip with just6 exchange students form my district. We headed out foz do Iguacu a city in western Parana located 7 hours away from londrina. i city is bordered by both Pariguay and Argintina. on Friday we headed to Pariguay for some cheap shopping. to enter pariguay all u have to do is simply walk across the bridge, no customs or any of that waiting in line stuff. After about 2 hours in paraguay we headed back to Brasil, which was a little more complicated to enter.........simply show a cusotms guard what u bought and your free to enter. In the Afternoon we headed to the Bird Park which holds a wide varity of birds found throughout brasil. i also managed to spark up a conversation with one of the birds, it was quite funny. i second day we headed out to Itaipu Dam, the worlds largest hydroelestric dam in the World, on the third and final day we headed to the National park of Iguacu Falls, there we got to get up close to one of the most beautiful waterfall systems in the world. the entire waterfall system streches for nearly 3 kilometers. after spending about 3 hours walking the paths around the falls we packed up and headed home. After returning form Foz do Iguacu on April 15 things settled down, ive continued up with school and capoeira, then after about a month of normality, more trips came up. On 24 i caught a bus at 630 in the morning headed for Curitba. In curitba a met up and stayed with a good friend Kevin (switzerland) who i met on the Northeast trip. ON the first day he took me on a small tour fo the city where we stopped by the botonical garden, the most madern theater in LAtin America and the main street of Curtiba. On the next day (friday) we headed out to kevins first host family for lunch. after lunch we headed to one of the many malls and met up with all the exchange students in curitba most i knew form the northeast trip. Saturday was a calm dayof just going through the city then at night we headed to a bar for two exchange students birthday party. Sunday we headed to a soccer game of Atletico Paranese and Santos, the stadium is the most modern in all of LAtin America, sporting events here in Brasil are much moe entertaining then in the US, for the first point, dont even thinking about sitting down and second the fans never stop singing and continually supporting the team or saying ever curse word imaginable to the referre or the other team. Monday was a calm day, we went to kevins school in which i wasnt allowed to enter but the school would not let kevin leave since he had already entered, but lucky for me i could kill time in a mall less then two blocks away. in the afternoon we met up with the other exchange students and went and watch Pirates of the Caribean 3. on Tuesday my last day we headed to an english school where i met up with my old portugues teach who i had before i came to brasil. after have a nice chat and reunion wiht him it was time to head to the bus staion andhead back to londrina. after arriving in Londirna i only had one day till i was headed of to RIO DE JANEIRO.....u can wait for that right? |
