Ari's Report

October 16, 2006

My name is Ari Laitinen and this is my report of the past two months.

The last two months have been the best of my life. I’ve done a lot of things and I’ve seen a lot of things but my time in here has been the best. I’ve been to football games, parties, tennis tournaments, birthday parties and I’ve just been hanging out and having a good time. I’m also learning how to speak English better and I’m starting to loose my accent. Don’t get me wrong I miss my home, my parents and my friends very much and sometimes it’s really though but it’s all worth it. My host family is great. Kim and Michael have been there for me and the kids are great too. I’ve enjoyed my stay in this family and I’ve learned a lot about the American culture through them.

I go to Plantation high school and I think it’s not the best school I’ve been to but It’s different. The kids too are pretty different from the finnish kids and the teachers are too a lot different. I know a lot of people in here and some of them are really good friends.

I’m looking forward to the Key West conference because I’m going there in a small airplane and that’s a new experience for me.

I don’t know what else to say but I want to thank Rotary Youth Exchange Program from the bottom of my heart. Thank you!
