Lorina's Spring Break

I'm on easter break for 10 days and my "stand-by" family invited me to spend a week with them. So I'm in Florida right now, relaxing, enjoying my break, doing shopping.....and writing my next report.

In march I went to the annual Rotary Ball. I really dressed up and i think I ended up looking pretty, at least I hope so;-) It was fun! We had a nice dinner and danced afterwards.

Besides that nothing really special happened in march. School, dance, going out with friends, enjoying the sun :-).....

I'll be in a show with my dance school in june and we started practicing for that.

I took all end of term exams at school, that were the last exams for me because I don't take the final exams. I think i did ok but it was tiring having two exams every day for almost two weeks. Now I'm pretty much done with school. After easter i have to go back for two weeks but we won't have too much work.

Everything got a little confusing because I didn't now if I would have a third family, where I would go, when i would change.

I changed april 1st, two weeks ago. Now i'm with Gwen Rolle and her daughter Charlique (15), but only for 6 weeks and them i'm going back to my first family. All that is a lot of changing but also a lot of experiences. The first couple weeks with a new family were always pretty hard for me. Each time i felt a bit homesick. Not that I missed Germany but I missed my old families. If you once get used to everything, if you once feel at home, it is hard staring over again, fitting in, getting used to new rules and lifestyles. That I really liked my first family didn't make it easier but after all I can say that I learned something  from all the people I was with and that nothing was a bad experience.

I guess that's a really short report, but better than nothing. I hope the next one comes soon. I think it'll be a little longer because so much is coming up. Hope everyone else is having a good time...be blessed......
