Roei reports about his life in Brazil

October 13, 2004

Well im not homesick, i feel very happy here. Im not homesick really, just sometimes. Most of the time im out in the city somewhere so i dont think about home that much. I Have a lot of friends thank god, people here are very welcoming and hospitable. I even make friends accidentally by just walking outside in the street some 1 just comes up and talks to you. So i think that's no problem for anyone in Brazil. My host family is ok. We had a few misunderstandings at the beginning but now we are ok. I have visited the capital of my state but that still wasnt very exiting. My dream city to visit is Rio De Janeiro, im sure that will be very exiting! The food i great! its very healthy. Its mostly,  rice, beans, salads, meat...etc. My weight is the same, but i feel healthier and my skin looks a lot better now that im eating real, non artificial, industrialized food. Im not participating in any school activities, i dont really like school. School anywhere is practically the same, its somewhere one stays unwillingly to pass time as you talk to your friends during the classes. So for me its just like school in America, somewhere i dont want to spend more time than needed in. Well my portugues vocabulary is pretty big, i understand everything that is going on and i can respond and conjugate words correctly in portugues. many of the big words are pretty much the same EX:
Construction - Construção
Incredible - incrível
Well the brazilian keyboard is messed up. not completly like Luis's French keyboard but also a lil messed up. Heres a picture of it.
