Sabrina's First Report from Japan August 19, 2004 |

Hey! I'm finally in Japan! Apparently our plane
was broken so we waited all day and for the inconvenience, the airport
gave out free hotel rooms.... to anybody 18 and up. So, some other
Rotary kids and I slept in the "UM Room." It's kinda like the
lost and found for kids... We slept the night there and got free food
and then we set off.
Japan is so cool, and for lunch I had some sushi
and some REAL green tea. Apparently theirs doesn't have sugar, but it
was good anyways... It's like coffee! I impressed my host parents
and the 3 other Rotary dudes who picked me up cause
I drank the green tea the right way (one hand cupped around the side,
and one hand on the bottom). I took a nap when I got home and I
skipped dinner. I've been so exited that I've gotten myself sick... I
hope I don't haku the first day...
