That's a photo that I took myself on my way home up the hill, behind me is the "Dom" the cathedral of Pécs, its very beautiful. |
That's me in szolnok stirring the goulash, I did not partake in any of the preparation for it but it was delicious! it was cooked on a huge "cauldron" over a slow fire in the yard. |

| Marco gives us a tour of his village - November 12, 2004 | |||||
This first foto is taken in a different part in my village.......i dont really know what i took a picture of, i think its one of those old carts that go on the train tracks and you have to push the lever up and down, like in the cartoons, if you look closely you will see a gray kitten on it. |
That cathedral you see is called Dom, and its really beautiful inside, and very large too, when we went in there was a guy practicing the organ and the music was really beautiful. |
That is a view from the medieval tower of Pécs, that really tall building is the tallest in the city, it was built by the communist to show their power to the people, ironically it was built so badly that nobody actually lives there, its empty, they cant get rid of it because its right in the middle of the city too! |
Thats a picture taken from my friend looking down from one of the old walls that used to surround part of the old city to protect them from invaders.
This is another picture of me on the pathway of the medieval wall.

This is a picture of the students of the Rotary club of Hungary, on a boat, used to cross the Danube river. We went to see a neighboring town. |
I wasn't allowed to take pictures here inside this cave, that resides in Orfû, but we waited for the tour guide to keep on walking, I went with my host brother and his girlfriend. |
This is a "socialist car" it belongs to my host father, now he uses it to go in the forest for hunting, but before this was their only mode of transportation. |
The picture is taken from my village, Orfû as the sun was setting. |
This house belongs to my host family, at the end of that path, there is something that looks like a house but it is used to store all the wood for the winter, all the houses here have it. |
That is the picture of me and a section of the Danube, that is where we boarded the little boat to cross the river, with the whole Rotary Club. |
This is me and the backdrop of the hills that surround Orfû. |
This is a rotary club member, taking his job very seriously! this was at an open museum of a very ancient Hungarian village, this was one of the toys the kids used at that time to entertain themselves. |
