Laura in Debrecen

After leaving my weekend trip in Miskolc...the family and I went to Debrecen...another city located on the other side of Hungary...but relatively close to Miskolc with just one hours drive.   There we did some sight seeing and hung out mostly in the cities main square which can be seen in the photos that we took from the top of the "Nagytemplom" (big church) church - also seen in the photos.  We spent just a few hours there...but i enjoyed every minute of it.  I believe that without a doubt, Debrecen is the most beautiful city of all and has become to be my favorite.

Laura is in the Newspaper!

"this clip is of a local newspaper..  if you look to the bottom of the page...you will see my Host brother and myself.  under our photo...it reads...Laura Megan Smith (17) a Bahamian exchange student...Gaál Tamás (17) a local resident...   the headline itself says..."people from the Bahamas came here just for the flowers"   this picture was taken at a park 30 minutes from my city.  there you can see many types of Hungarian plants and flowers.   we spent the day  there...the fam and I.   it was great and we all had an awesome time.   while we were there, we were stopped by a photographer and article writer from the paper and were asked questions like...what do you think of the park...does it differ from anything else you have seen before...and so on.   so, a few days later...we picked up a newspaper, flipped a few pages and VOILA...BAM...there we were."
