Coral Springs City Tour - 2003

Courtesy of Coral Springs International Partnerships

Through the auspices of a group known as CSIP, all exchange students being hosted in or near the City of Coral Springs were given a city tour on October 7, 2003.  Our six students who attended were Charly and Stephan, each from Germany and each hosted by Coral Springs-Parkland Club; Pierre (France), hosted by the Coral Springs Club; Aino (Finland) and Tomo (Japan) hosted by the Pompano Club; and Michelle (Taiwan) hosted by the Fort Lauderdale Club.  Also part of the group was rebounder Edi Bibergall, recently returned from Japan and host brother of Tomo.

The tour, organized by Tommy Lam of CSIP and originally from Hong Kong, visited the training center for the Florida Panthers, the NHL hockey team, the aquatics center (home to Stephan 6 days a week!!), the Center for the Arts, home of theater and art displays throughout the year, the Chinese Cultural Center and City Hall, where the students met the Mayor and Commissioners from the City of Coral Springs.  But the best part of the evening was when they went to the Super Buffet for dinner!!
