House of Terror

On October 19th several of our Exchange Students braved the thought of getting the bejeebers scared out of them and went to the House of Terror in Miami. Ralph, Kathi and Jelka, along with host Moms Alba, Jeannie and Diane were also joined by Dóri and Dóri's friend from Finland Miriam. Also along were Alba's son Tyler and nephew David.

Some of the commentary provided by Alba Weinman, who provided the pictures: "All of us, except for Jelka, who chickened out at the last minute, ventured into the House of Terror. Many screams later, we were reunited with Jelka, who's tongue had turned colors from the funky frozen lemonade she had had while waiting for us. Tyler climbed up the climbing wall while Kathi and Jelka ate some Elephant Ears. Later we rode the roller coaster, the gliders, and the Ferris wheel. The kids also went through the fun house. The girls got their first experience in a Port-o-John. I'm sure they won't forget that! The main topic of conversation was why weren't all the other exchange students there too. They had such a great time and wanted to share that fun with the other kids as a group."
