| Hi!! Well, here is my first report abaut my first 2 months in Miami. I don't know, how can I start it... I arrived in Miami on Aug.21. In the airport my host family and some Rotarian members from the Hallandale Club met me. Everybody was smiling and everybody was so nice. Abaut my family: i'm so happy with them, and I love them so
much. My mother: Barbara. She has her own graphics business.
Her job is so grest andshe is so cool. My father: John, has his own
business too. I have a sister and a brother. My brother -Johnny- is
13 years old and he is just like my real brother -David- in Hungary.
And my "little" sister Katie, who is 10 years old- I think she
will be an actress or dancer! Well, in the beginning it was so difficult. New lenguage, new people, a different "world" and the new school. The school.... I go to Hialeah Miami Lakes Hiagh School. It's a very huge school, more than 3200 student study here (in my school in Szombathely study 800 student). The building is huge, so at first I was usually lost. It was hard, because I didn't know anybody and I didn't understand anything. But the teachers and kids were very nice and they did help me, so a few weeks later i found a lot of friends. The schoolsystem is very different than in Europre, it was so strange, but I like it!! I have dance, math, American government, Esol and Chorus lasses. I sing in the women's chorus after school, and with my parents in the church choir, too. My family has a boat so we often go to the ocean. There, the parents go diving, we swim, jump off the roof, sunbath.. It's really a lot of fun. I went with some friends to the beach- at night. it was so scarey. In this 2 months I had a lot of experiences. I was with my family at a CHER concert- it was so cool!! I like the boat very much. One time, we vent sailing in the evening. Miami in the evening wih citylights is beautiful! And of course the trip and meetings with the Rotary club and with the exchange studants. The BAhamas was a great time. I hope -I wish- that before I go home I can go back there. Kathie's birthday and the Octoberfest were so nice, and the House of Terror?? I think it's House of Horror,- well it was so scarey /right, Jelka?? :-)/ But it was a great fun! Oh, and my first Halloween. I want to celebrate Halloween back home! It was really funny! Thanks to Alba&Doug. The American foods: it's amaizing, but I ate seafood. My families (here, and in Hungary too) like seafood so much, but I never tried it before. But here, I'll try and taste everything. So I ate labster, crab, and another amaizing: I ate broccoli ( I hate broccoli!!). So goes my first 2 months an Miami. The times goes so fast now in my life. I'm so happy, that I can be here, that I can be an exchange student (Thank you for my parents!) I hope, that in the future I can be back! And I promise, I'll write more reports! Kisses&hugs: |
