Ok so decenber was a little more eventful.  One of the exchange students went home to South Africa on the fifth, all Australians and South Africans come and go around December or January.  We went to the airport to see her off -  she cried a river and so did her closest friends, it looked lie a competition for who could let out the most water.  On the way to the airport though (via metro) i got a first-hand look at cruelty toward gypsies.  This gypsy boy was playing with some acetone or something (at least it smelled like polish remover, and he wasnt bothering anyboby, just blowing in his acetone bag), and all of a sudden a man stood up and burst the bag in the boy"s face.  The boy was blinded, burning and screaming hysterically - he was having a royal fit.  Needless to say, that wasnt one of the highlights of my stay.  December 6 was the day of Santa"s first coming.  Parents give children everything from sausage to chocolate, and give each other everything from coffee to whiskey - but its only a small gift, the big one is on the 25th.

On the 7th I went to a wedding in Miskolc (approx 2 hours from Budapest) with my second host mother, and her nephew.  It was cold as I dont know what!! There were like a million people in the bride"s little house, eating, of course (duh), and getting ready to go to the wedding.  The wedding started at around 3:30 and didnt end until 5 the next morning.  they went to a town hall first to sign the papers, and secondly to a church to keep with tradition.  Before they left the house though, there was this little ceremony performed by the MC, the groom, two women and the bride.  The MC asks the groom if he wants one of the two women, and of course the groom says no.  Then the MC brings the bride and the groom chooses her.  At the reception all they do is eat, eat, eat, and drink, drink, drink.  They also have games and traditonal Hungarian dancing.

Well this month I think I will be going up north to see the thicker snow (if it snows), and of course I will PARTY!! Neway look at the pictures.
