Hello everyone,

It's been over five months since my arrival in Finland. The year is half way over. It was actually it little sad to realize this, because the time has gone by so quickly. I got to say goodbye to our Australian exchange students, who come and go in January. It was a sad sight to see. Sort of a sneak peak at how it's going to be for all of us to leave. But enough about leaving.

I'm beginning to think I'm never going to wear shorts again. February is supposed to be our coldest month. Which means the worst is not over. lol. Things here are still pretty normal. Nothing much else than school, finnish, and coffee. I'm still not fluent in Finnish. I can understand basically what everyone talks about, but when comes to actually speaking it myself, I am a little shy. Plus it's extremely difficult (as I know I've mentioned before)! I beginning to make an effort to only use it at home and around people I feel comfortable with. That way I'll gain up a little more confidence to use it with strangers.

I'd really like to write more, but I have to get to class... This month was a pretty calm one where nothing really exciting happened. But I'm fine with that. I'll definately have more to write next month. Until then, hope all is well and everyone is doing ok.

 Take care!

Sarah
