Parrot Jungle/Pool Party

September 21, 2001

The events of September 11, 2001 changed many lives and plans.  We were supposed to take part in the District 6990 District Conference which was held aboard the cruise liner "Majesty of the Seas" but at the last minute the ship decided to not permit any persons not sailing on the cruise to come aboard and participate in any events prior to departure.  Were it not for Chairman Doug Weinman that would have ended our gathering.

A big THANK YOU goes out to Doug and his wife Alba (and son Tyler and dog Fergus) for opening their home for a pool party so many of the inbounds could gather anyway.  And Doug had the great idea to take the guys to a long time Miami attraction "Parrot Jungle" to have some fun before eating his cooking.
