And a new year begins.....

Orientation

Exchange year 2001 ~ 2001 started as it has for the past several years at the home of Paul and Lois Neidhart in Miami with the traditional Host Family and Student orientation.  Again this year we were joined by some of the Inbounds from our Rotary neighbors to the north, District 6930, led by their committee members Rick Russell and Gail Saib.  Also joining us were District Governor Robin Shelley and wife Susan, Past District Governor Eliot Lowenstein and wife Pat and District Governor Elect Tom Burnaw.

Thanks go to Bob Friedman for Chairing the event, YE Chair for organizing things and arranging for the great Cuban Food, Bob Friedman and Ken Fusco for speaking to the Host Families and YEOs, all the hosts and YEO who took time to make it to this event, and Paul and Lois Neidhart for their graciousness in hosting this event again.

The following are images of the event:

The Rules

Chairman Doug Weinman reads the rules

Most of the Inbounds stayed awake!

Some did NOT stay awake!

The sheer excitement is something to behold

Meanwhile the wizened old former exchange students Laura L"Herueux-Kupkee (India) and Kerry Mott (Brazil) talk to more recently returned students

Kerry with Corinne Gallet, 2000 - 2001 to Netherlands and Sherrie Foglia 1999 - 2000 to Belgium

Recently returned Roly Reyes, 2000 - 2001 to Japan

And the rebounders give some practical advice about the rules - "don't get caught!"
