hallo how is everyone doing??

i am fine here in austria, i have been real  busy moving, but it ended up to be sucessful! i came with 3 bags and i moved  with 6! that's what winter clothes will do to you! right now it is snowing!  so exciting for me! i love everything white and pretty. school is great  today in gym we all decided to not play volleyball and to go and have snow  ball fights!!! i can honeslty say some of these girls could be pro pitchers  for baseball! man they all killed me! but "na ja es ghets".

my german is  going really good. "aber wenn ich deutsch sprechen. ich kann mich nich  richtig ausdrünken!" (when i speak german i can't express myself fully), but  it is better. i guess before it was not so good, but then i got yelled at  for not understanding it! i guess it worked because now i can have a  conversation with people and i have been here for 4 months!

last weekend all  the exchange students in hungry came to vienna and i met up with them and  saw kelly, which was great! i guess some of them were really suprised on how  my german was going along, but i have been told hungarian is really hard  to learn. it was so strange i just wanted to speak german to them, but i  couldn't=( i think the language gets better the more excited you get about  it!

well this weekend we go to salzburg with rotary! it is supose to be  really cold. although in 2 days it will be -7 c° which is about 17f° or so.  that is really cold for me, but it is fun, and it wakes you up in the  morning! well let's see my new family.... they are great, for x-mas my host  brother comes back from detroit! i don't know how, but rotary is letting  him, so i am excited, because i met him before he left and he is really  cool. um... i know my english is no good i am thinking in germish now! i  totally missplled my whole english test wrong, but that is ok i am not here  to continue my education in english! just to learn german and that is all i  must learn for now! at lesast that is what everyone is telling me.

for new  years i go see emilia!! yeah, i am so excited we might even meet up with max  in münchen, deutschland- or emilia's house. i think this would be the best  time for someone to visit vienna! it is all white and there are a lot of big  markets set up on the streets filled with traditional x-mas stuff! and at  every corner there are "punsch stands". it is a type of alcoholic hot punch  that evryone insists on me drinking to keep warm, which it works, so it is  all good. oh last weekend was the grand opening of the first starbucks  coffee in wien, of course i went, being american and all!

oh i almost forgot  i had a thanksgiving dinner!! 1 week later, but it was still good! nothing  like an american one, but it was so nice of my frineds mom to cook for me.  well i guess thatis enough for now! take care!

alles liebe,
jamie
