Thanks to the outstanding efforts of many District 6990 Rotarians on Grand Bahama Island, as well as other residents of Freeport and Lucaya, the 12 Rotary Youth Exchange Students from District 6990 and 6 students from District 6930 were treated to a long weekend in the Bahamas from October 19 to the 21st. 

     The Committee would like to thank Sonny, Waugh, Gregg Smith, Alvin Smith, Phil Cartwright, Paula Harris (President  of the Rotary Club of Freeport), Dashwell Flowers, Richard Bates, Tommy Atkinson (Pres of the Rotary Club Lucaya), Ollie Fergerson (President  of Grand Bahama Sunrise) and many others.

     Also thanks to Chairman Doug Weinman who accompanied the students on this fun filled weekend - being Chairman is such a thankless job!!!  And a special THANK YOU to Roy Joseph who make all of the travel arrangements and did all the coordination with the Bahamian Rotarians and the District 6930 students.

     District 6990 has a GREAT Youth Exchange Committee!!!
