I've gone bowling this month at the one bowling  alley we have here in Maastricht. Its not really a popular sport and the bowling alley had only 16 lanes. It was fun. I scored the lowest in the first game and the highest in the second one. Go figure? I've also gone to see The Perfect Storm in Belgium. We went to Lanaken which is 15 minutes or less with the car.I was so embarresed when the shark came out of the water I screamed in the middle of the movie theather. Jose and Peter laughed at me very hard.

On Nov 3rd I moved to my second host family and I can't say it has been smooth waters but they are getting clamer. I miss my first host family and my real family very much now. Thats I think because I have to start all over again. They are very different extremes. I'm starting to feel more at home here. Its kind of hard to develop realtionships with people and then you have to move and then you know that they could never possibly stay the same. Its kind of like your uncounciosly destroying your relationship that you've worked for 3 months to build. I don't know if its unfortunate or fortunate that on the way to school I have to bicycle along the street were I used to live. I could never forget about them thats for sure. The irregualrity is really the hardest part. But now I'm starting to develop my own routine again and things are going better. Martine and Fons are my host parents. Martine is actually from Belgie by nationality and shes an interior designer. Fons is a docter, he runs the local health department in Sittard. Myra is 15 and she plays the piano. Monique is 13 and she plays the violin.

Last night I went to a 25 year anniversary party for Jose and Peter and it was so crazy. They stuffed 120 people in a house. They had presentations from the kids from family and from their old neighbors. They had a full service bar and the house was unbelievably beautiful. They had little round flat candles every where and they decorated the tables in natural things from fall. Everybody was speaking dialect. A whole bunch of different ones. I didn't know that many people. Only about 15 or so. After the majority left at 12 then it got even more crazy the keyboardist left and they put on carnival music. Thats a very famous 3 days here. Its not until feburary but everyone was going crazy with the music.I learned how to dance Limburgs way. Very cool.I also decided to get my hair cut earlier that day because all the teachers except 2 were sick so I could go home at 11 and I needed one. When we ask for a certian length that means when its dry at home but here they cut to that length when its wet and it ended up being shorter than I had in mind. I had it just past my shoulders now its to the top of my jaw.I caught a cold and am now a little bit miserable. Tomorrow I'm going to the anniversary mass for Peter and Jose. Corinne
