| I can only write a short report, because I am on the
school computer and there are people behind me waiting to use it. I had a great month. I went to Vienna again
with my host sister to visit my other host sister, and then the next week I went to ski week. Ski week was
great! I went skiing with my first host family New Years, but it was only three
days and I didn't really learn how to ski. This time, I did. It was a full
week, with the first four days taught by instructors. My teacher was really nice. She was very patient, and
since she was young we had fun with her too. We even had a snowball fight. My friends and I also got the
best rooms out of anyone. We had a little apartment with two bedrooms and a kitchen. Hehe. It was great. I
fell a ton of times, but by the end I really could ski, and even on the second day I did a lot better
than on the first. I am really surprised by how fast it was to learn. The tobaganning (sp?)
was really fun, but wow I never realized how dangerous it is! It was two to a sled, and I went with my friend, and we
got thrown so many times, as well as almost going over the mountain a few times. There was one fall where I was
thrown <i>over</i> her and we both were thrown like five feet. We all had bruises from that, and my
partner was bleeding from a couple scrapes. It was fun, but they need to put brakes on those things!
There was also a cool pool not too far from where we were staying. It had a slide and a little river, and
was hot. We all went one afternoon to ease our bruised bodies.
Overall, it was really nice. I am going to Italy again this weekend for Easter vacation with my friend, and then I am changing families the 25th. I am sad about that, since I really like the family I have now, even though everyone tells me that the next one is really nice. I'm sure I'll like them, but I'll still miss the one I have now. Euro tour is in just three weeks! I can't believe the year is almost over! It doesn't feel like it. But Euro tour is a great way to wind down the year. Seven countries in seventeen days. Euro disney! Amsterdam! All over the place. I'll tell everyone about that. As soon as I get back I have a ton of pictures to show everyone. Like three or four albums, at least. Hehe. So I've had a good month. I hope everyone there is doing as well as I am here.
