Camping Trip and Outbound Orientation

Birch State Park, Fort Lauderdale, March 2 ~ 4, 2001

Each year since 1994 the District 6990 Inbound Students have gathered with the newly accepted Outbound students for a camping trip and initial orientation for the Outbounds.  This is an opportunity for the Inbounds to get together, as they always love to do, and for the Outbounds to meet each other, most for the first time.  It is also a chance for each group to talk to the other openly and honestly about being an exchange student and to hear all the "good, bad and ugly" about that existence.  It is also a time for fun, some time at the beach, and the annual high stakes grudge match - the Outbound vs. Inbound VOLLEY BALL GAME!!

Special thanks are due to Chief cook and event planner and organizer Roy Joseph, Chaperones Yves Gallet, Lornna Scanga and Bruce Kerestes, Laura Cohen for the Friday night fun, and organizational and transportation help from Terrell Manyak
